Robert E. Patterson

Robert E. Patterson, Senior Partner, has 38 years of real estate experience and has been employed by Cabot for 23 years. Mr. Patterson is Chairman of Cabot's Investment Committee and has overseen the acquisition, management, and sale of over $4 billion of industrial properties since joining Cabot in 1987. While with the Cabot REIT, Mr. Patterson served as President and a Trustee. Previously, Mr. Patterson served as Executive Vice President, Director of Acquisitions and a member of the Investment Committee of Cabot Partners and its predecessor, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Realty Advisors, Inc., from 1987 to 1997. Mr. Patterson began his real estate career in 1972 as a lawyer with the firm of Gaston, Snow & Ely Bartlett. In 1978, he became the first Executive Director of the Massachusetts Industrial Finance Agency and remained in that position until 1983 when he joined the Beal Companies, a Boston based real estate development, management, and investment firm as Senior Vice President. Mr. Patterson is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He is Chairman Emeritus and Trustee of the Joslin Diabetes Center, a Director of the Brandywine Trust Group, LLC, and former Trustee of the Sea Education Association. He is a member of numerous industry associations, including the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and the Urban Land Institute.
