1986.
Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Realty Advisors, founded as an affiliate of Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, a national real estate development company.
1990.
Management purchases Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Realty Advisors, changes its name to Cabot Partners.
1998.
Working with eight major investors, Cabot forms Cabot Industrial Trust (Cabot REIT) a NYSE traded REIT, which completed its IPO in January, 1998.
2001.
Management sells Cabot REIT for $2.1 billion to an institutional investor. From IPO to the sale, Cabot REIT was the top performing national industrial REIT, outperforming the S&P and Dow Jones Indices during the period.
2002.
Senior principals and other employees form from Cabot REIT form Cabot Properties, a private equity real estate fund manager.
2005.
Management sells the Cabot Industrial Value Fund for $700 million. Raised Cabot Industrial Fund II.
